Bayano Cement Plant

Our Client: CEMEX, one of the world’s largest building materials suppliers and cement producers.

Country: Panama

We provided a complete turnkey air filtration solution and engineered one of our Redecam Dual-Input Integrated Systems, saving our client space and money.

Our Contract: Redecam was to provide a complete turnkey air filtration solution to one of the world’s two largest cement companies, building a new kiln in Panama to help meet the anticipated demand for additional cement due to the Panama Canal expansion project.

Our Challenge: Two kiln ends needed pollution control, but there was no space for two bag filters (baghouses). We engineered a special integrated dedusting solution, one of our Redecam Dual-Input Integrated Systems, using the Bag Filter to dedust both kiln ends (kiln/raw mill and kiln/clinker cooler), saving the customer space and money.

Our Solution: We designed and installed one of our Gas-to-Air Heat Exchangers to control the temperature on the clinker cooler outlet before sending the gases to the Dual-Input Integrated Filter. We also added our Cyclones to the system. Our team did the electrical work and integrated the system into the automation system of the plant.

Our Client: GDF Suez, the number one independent power producer in the world.

Country: Chile

We engineered turnkey retrofit solutions for 4 lines and added flue gas treatment to comply with new regulations. Installation and commissioning were completed in a mere 30 days.

Our Contract: After Redecam’s success for the company’s Mejillones plants, GDF Suez hired us to provide retrofit turnkey solutions for their four (4) lines at Tocopillas and add flue gas treatment solutions to comply with new regulations to come into effect at the end of 2015.

Our Challenge: This time our customer wanted all 4 systems installed and commissioned within 35 days. We had it done in 30 days.

Our Solution: We transformed the existing electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) on all four units into Bag Filters, to increase efficiency given their process parameters. The production on two of the lines was too high for one Bag Filter, so we added a second Bag Filter on each of those lines. We also added Dry Injection Desulfurization systems in front of the Bag Filters to reduce SO2 emissions to comply with eventual new regulations.

We transformed existing ESPs into Bag Filters, providing higher efficiency and installed a flue gas treatment system to comply with new regulations… all in 35 days.

Our Contract: Provide turnkey retrofit air filtration solutions for two (2) units in the plant and install flue gas treatment systems to comply with new regulations to come into effect at the end of 2015.

Our Challenge: It was critical that installation and commissioning be complete within 45 days. We did it in 35 days.

Our Solution: We transformed the existing electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) on both units into Bag Filters (baghouses), as this would provide the plant with higher efficiency given their process data. We added Dry Injection Desulfurization systems in front of the Bag Filters to reduce SO2 emissions, complying with all relevant environmental standards.

Our Client: Votorantim Cimentos SA, the largest cement company in Brazil and the eighth largest in the world.

Country: Brazil

We customized a Redecam Dual-Input Integrated System to comply with our customer’s specific needs and saving them space, time and money.

Our Contract: Cuiaba was done within a larger contract with Votorantim Cimentos SA to provide complex air filtration solutions to four (4) of their new plants. We were to work alongside plant general contractor FLSmidth to find an innovative, unique air filtration solution for each of these plants.

Our Challenge: At Cuiaba, as in each of the other three plants, two kiln ends needed pollution control and the client had budget and timing concerns.

Our Solution: At Cuiaba, as well as at the other three plants, we engineered one of our special integrated dedusting solutions, Redecam’s Dual-Input Integrated System, using one Redecam Bag Filter (baghouse) to dedust both kiln ends (kiln/raw mill and kiln/clinker cooler), saving the customer space, time and money. We designed, built and installed a DPD-Model Bag Filter, a Mixing Chamber and one of our special Gas-to-Air Heat Exchangers to control the temperature on the clinker cooler outlets before collecting the gases on the integrated filter, optimizing performance.

ADM’s Rondonópolis Biodiesel Plant

Our Client: ADM, based in Illinois, USA and one of the world’s leading agricultural processors.

Country: Brazil

We suggested and provided a turnkey air filtration solution, including our innovative Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) system that would offer high efficiency while being cost-effective.

Our Contract: Work for this American company to provide a turnkey air filtration solution for their plant in Rondonópolis, Brazil. This facility houses Brazil’s largest biodiesel plant, with a daily production capacity of nearly 1,200 metric tons. The plant also processes soy to produce glycerin and fatty acids used in various industrial chemicals.

Our Solution: Our client had considered installing a wet scrubber, but our engineers suggested one of our Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) solutions that would offer higher efficiency while being more cost-effective. Redecam’s own “Electrode – Suspension – Rapping” technology in our ESP optimizes the energy applied to remove dust and pollutants and limits their re-entrainment into the gas stream. This innovation ensures both the highest reliability and effectiveness, even when the plant is operating at maximum capacity.
