CEMEX COLOMBIA
REDECAM signed with CEMEX COLOMBIA a turn-key contract for the conversion into a bag filter of the existing electrostatic precipitator for kiln & Raw Mill of Caracolito line 1.
The existing precipitator will be transformed into a bag filter to reduce dust emission at stack less than 10mg/Nm3. The installed filtration surface is 5.800m2 of Fiberglass bags with PTFE membrane.
Redecam is responsible of fabrication, mechanical erection and electrical erection of the new equipments and will take care also the supply of a new compressed air station including the required civil works.
The Bag Filter will be put in operation early December 2010 after 4 weeks of kiln shut-down.
This conversion fixed another milestone in REDECAM history: the first reference in COLOMBIA.
CIMSA – TURKEY
REDECAM signed with CIMSA - TURKEY a contract for the conversion into a bag filter of the existing electrostatic precipitator for kiln & Raw Mill of MERSIN Kiln line 1.
The existing precipitator will be transformed into a bag filter to reduce dust emission at stack less than 10mg/Nm3. The installed filtration surface is 10.700m2 of Fiberglass bags with PTFE membrane.
The Bag Filter will be put in operation on February 2011 after 3 weeks of kiln shut-down.
GEBR. PFEIFFER AG, GABES PLANT - TUNISIA
REDECAM signed with GEBR. PFEIFFER AG a contract for the cement mill dedusting facilities to be installed in the Gabes Cement Plant - Tunisia.
Over several nuisance bag filters, the project includes the installation of the Redecam special filter “DPM” model.
This kind of filter is suited for heavy-duty service and for high inlet dust burden gases for finish mill application.
- a baffle system grants an efficient dust pre-separation to reduce the dust burden reaching the bags;
- contrarly to “standard” filters, where the dusted gas
reaches vertically the bags (resulting in a counter-flow gas - dropping dust), in the DPM filters the access to the bags is horizontal avoiding the recirculation of the dust;
- the slots system located between the bag rows prevents contact between the high dust burden gases and the cloth, improving bag life and reducing pressure drop.

REDECAM signed with EDELNOR a contract for the conversion into a bag filter of the existing electrostatic precipitator for the coalfired boiler line 13.
The existing precipitator will be transformed into a bag filter to reduce dust emission at stack less than 10mg/Nm3.
The installed filtration surface is 14.300m2 of Fiberglass bags with PTFE membrane.
The Bag Filter will be put in operation on December 2010 after 4 weeks of kiln shut-down. The picture shown the installation before the conversion.
