Electrical Project Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field or its equivalent
- At least one year of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Engineer, related field or its equivalent.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Field experience
Responsibilities
- Make calculations for recommending sizes and specifications of electrical power and control systems
- Prepare drawings of plant systems and specify necessary equipment
- Work under direct supervision of Department Manager of Electrical Engineering Department
- Apply company drawing and design standards
- Use and apply standards and codes used by Engineers
- Calculate the size and specifications for electrical power distribution and control systems which meet project requirements and obtain results needed to meet client objectives and specifications
- Use plc programming to set up control systems
- Configure electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, motor, motor starters, drive systems
- Participate in the preparation of capital cost estimates, including calculating electrical load, power distribution and control system equipment and installation costs
- Size and specify electrical equipment, including power distribution equipment, control equipment and instrumentation, for purchasing and installation
- Develop designs and make calculations to verify workability of power and control systems
- Use AutoCAD to produce accurate, professional engineering drawings
- Visit job sites and conduct field inspections
