Surge Group Redecam began as a family company in September 1980, founded by a group of three Italian engineers. After working for other companies in the cement industry, these three men were convinced that their innovative ideas could offer customers better solutions in air filtration.
From the very beginning, Redecam was invited to work with the biggest names in the cement industry, including Buzzi Unicem, Votorantim Cimentos and Lafarge. By the mid-1980s, the company had branched out into Brazil and the United States, beginning its worldwide expansion. Redecam’s constant ability and willingness to adapt to its customers’ needs translated into repeat customers and a growing footprint, which now spans every continent on the globe, including Antarctica.
Fifteen years ago, Redecam began developing new products in order to diversify into new sectors. Its in-house engineering team spent time designing and manufacturing Redecam’s own solutions to improve flue gas treatment, allowing Redecam to expand its portfolio to cover all air pollution control solutions. The company’s innovation and flexibility to adapt its solutions successfully won them customers in the Cement & Lime, Metals & Mining, Coal & Oil Power, Waste-to-Energy & Biomass Power industries, as well as in the non-energy producing Biomass industry.
Today, Redecam continues to lead the market worldwide in air pollution control. Its capacity to not only design, manufacture and install solutions for greenfield projects, but also for retrofits, upgrades and transformations provides an advantage other companies don’t have. In addition, its reputation for delivering projects on time or even ahead of time, has won Redecam many repeat customers… some of whom trusted Redecam with their business at the very beginning, 30 years ago.
